Sounderic is an online therapy services platform providing speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavioural therapy, and special education services to individuals and families worldwide. By accessing this website or booking any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our website or services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not access this website or use our services. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Our Services

Sounderic provides online therapy services delivered via secure video sessions, including but not limited to:

Speech therapy for children and adults
Occupational therapy
Behavioural therapy
Special education support
Parent training programmes
Social skills programmes
Stuttering and fluency therapy
Stroke and aphasia rehabilitation support

Services are available to clients in India and internationally. All therapy services are delivered by qualified, certified professionals. Our speech-language pathologists and occupational therapists hold recognised academic qualifications and are registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) where applicable.

3. Eligibility

Our services are available to individuals of all ages. Where services are booked on behalf of a minor (a person under the age of 18), the parent or legal guardian accepts these Terms on behalf of that minor and is responsible for their participation in sessions and for ensuring the accuracy of all information provided at the time of booking.

4. Bookings and Consultations

Sessions must be booked in advance through the Sounderic website or by contacting our team directly via phone, email, or WhatsApp. By completing a booking, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.

A free 15-minute initial consultation is offered to all new clients. This consultation is conducted via video call and is intended to help us understand your needs and recommend an appropriate therapist and plan. It does not constitute a full assessment or formal diagnosis.

Payment terms, refund eligibility, and rescheduling conditions are governed by our Refund and Rescheduling Policy, which is available on our website and forms part of these Terms by reference.

5. Client Responsibilities

To get the most from your sessions and to ensure smooth delivery of our services, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete information about yourself or your child at the time of booking and throughout the course of therapy
Attend sessions on time and notify us in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule
Ensure a quiet, private space with a stable internet connection is available for sessions
Engage with home practice activities as recommended by your therapist between sessions
Treat all Sounderic therapists and staff with respect

6. Not a Substitute for Emergency Care

The services provided by Sounderic are therapeutic and educational in nature. They are not a substitute for emergency medical care, psychiatric emergency services, crisis intervention, or formal clinical diagnosis.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or experiencing a medical emergency, please contact your local emergency services immediately.

If you have concerns about a diagnosis or medical condition, please consult a qualified medical professional in addition to your therapy program.

7. Confidentiality

Sounderic is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all client information and session content. Information shared during therapy sessions will not be disclosed to any third party except in the following circumstances:

Where disclosure is required by law
Where there is a risk of serious harm to the client or another person
With the explicit written consent of the client or, in the case of a minor, their parent or legal guardian

Your use of the Services is subject to our Privacy Policy. Please review this policy carefully so you understand what information we collect through the Services, how we use it, how we secure it, and when we may share it.

8. Therapist Assignment and Changes

We will make every effort to match you with a therapist who is suited to your specific needs, language preferences, and schedule. In the event that your assigned therapist is unavailable due to illness or other circumstances, we will inform you as soon as possible and arrange an alternative therapist or reschedule your session at no additional cost.

9. Technology and Connectivity

Sessions are conducted via video call platforms including Google Meet or similar tools. You are responsible for ensuring that your device, internet connection, and video call access are functioning before each session. Sounderic is not responsible for any disruption to sessions caused by connectivity issues on the client's side.

If a session is disrupted due to a technical failure on our side, we will reschedule the session at no additional charge.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, blog posts, therapy resources, and downloadable materials, is the intellectual property of Sounderic unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sounderic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or our services. Our total liability to you in connection with any claim arising from these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the session or service to which the claim relates.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.

12. Third-Party Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites for your reference and convenience. Sounderic does not endorse and is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any third-party websites. Sounderic may also feature information and advertisements related to the therapists or other third parties. Accessing third-party links is done at your own risk. We are not responsible or liable in any manner for the content of such third-party links, information, and advertisements, as well as the security and privacy practices deployed by the operators of the third-party websites. Please exercise your due diligence before clicking on any of such third-party links or advertisements.

13. Therapists’ authorization.

The Therapists are responsible for obtaining all necessary authorizations, certificates, undergoing verifications, and acquiring professional liability insurance policies enabling them to use Sounderic and provide therapeutic services through Sounderic. The terms and conditions of the therapist’s insurance policy must not contravene to these Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.

For clients based outside India, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve any disputes amicably before any formal proceedings are initiated.

15. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. Your continued use of our website or services after any changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

How to Use Sounderic's Website

To use the Website( www.sounderic.com ), you first need to book a consultation with us. When booking an appointment, you are obligated to provide us with certain information, such as your name, address, date of birth, and the name of your primary care provider (if you have one).

By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.

You may not use our products for any illegal or unauthorized purpose nor may you, in the use of the Service, violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

You must not transmit any worms or viruses or any code of a destructive nature.

A breach or violation of any of the Terms will result in an immediate termination of your Services.

DO NOT USE THE SERVICES AS A SUBSTITUTE FOR CONSULTING WITH YOUR PHYSICIAN OR OTHER HEALTH CARE PROVIDER, AND DO NOT DISREGARD PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE OR DELAY IN SEEKING IT BECAUSE OF ANY INFORMATION RECEIVED IN CONNECTION WITH OUR SERVICES.

Your Use of the Services

You represent and warrant that the information you provide to us is accurate and complete. You acknowledge and agree that we are entitled at all times to verify the information provided and to deny your use of the Services at any time for any reason or no reason. You may only access the Services using authorized means. I

By accessing or using the Services, you further agree that:

You will only use the Services for your sole, personal use

We reserve the right to immediately terminate your use of the Services should you fail to comply with any of the foregoing rules.

Sounderic is an online platform that provides a variety of online services to the Users for speech and language-related information and resources.

You acknowledge that the Therapists empaneled with Us are independent contractors and thereby Sounderic has an independent contractor relationship with such Therapists and therefore in no event, Sounderic will be directly or vicariously liable for any advice or consultancy or any loss arising therefrom that the Experts may provide to You or You may avail as part of the Services.

You acknowledge that although some of the content, text, data, graphics, images, information, suggestions, guidance, and other material (collectively, “Information”) that is provided to You on the Website (including Information provided in direct response to Your questions or postings) may be provided by individuals in the medical profession, the provision of such Information does not create a doctor/medical professional-patient relationship, but is provided to inform You on various medical conditions, medical diagnosis and treatment and it does not constitute a direct medical diagnosis, treatment or prescription. Everything on the Website should be used for information purposes only.

Sounderic is designed to support the decisions and choices that You make. These decisions and choices are Yours, and We believe that You, in connection with the advice You receive from Your doctor or other professional healthcare providers, are the best decision-maker. We cannot make decisions for you.

The Services are not for use in medical emergencies or for critical health situations requiring prompt medical attention. You take full responsibility for ensuring that the information submitted is accurate and Sounderic shall not make any effort to validate any information provided by You for using the Services with respect to content, correctness, or usability. We, with an intention to provide the best services possible, could ask You to share more information as and when needed.

The inclusion of professionals, specialists, and/ or Therapists on the Website or in any professional directory on the Website does not imply recommendation or endorsement and is provided on an ‘as-is’ basis and Sounderic disclaims all warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Sounderic (the owners and the employee staff of Sounderic ) accept no responsibility for any medical, legal, or financial events or outcomes related to the Services availed through the use of the Website.

Sounderic makes no warranty that the Services will meet Your requirements, or that the Service(s) will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. This includes loss of data or any service interruption caused by Sounderic employees. Sounderic is not responsible for transmission errors, corruption of data.

Sounderic is for personal use. You may use the Website for personal, but not for commercial, purposes.

The Website may not be used for illegal purposes. You may not access our networks, computers, or the Information and Services in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair them, or interfere with any other person’s use and enjoyment. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any Information or Services, other accounts, computer systems, or networks connected with the Website, the Information, or Services. You may not use any automated means to access the Website, the Information, or Services for any purpose.

Right of withdrawal

We respect consumer rights and comply with the applicable consumer protection laws. If you use Sounderic as an individual who is a consumer (i.e., you act wholly or mainly outside the scope of your trade, business, or profession), you have the right to withdraw from the service contract with us within the period of 14 days after the service contract was concluded, unless the provision of the services was completed. In order to terminate the service contract and receive a refund, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by email. If you have already used our services (e.g., participated in the Sessions) prior to communicating your desire to withdraw from the service contract with us, we reserve the right to charge you proportionally for the services used and return the Service Fees paid for the unused services only (if any). If you have fully used all services for which the service contract was concluded, you cannot exercise your right of withdrawal. We will refund the Service Fees by using manual payment (bank transfer/UPI) unless you have expressly requested otherwise.

Fees and Payments

Fees payable by the client. When a client makes a booking of a Session, the client will pay the service fees informed to them by the healthcare professional (the “Session Fees”) in accordance with our pricing policy. Once payment for the Session Fees is made, the confirmation email will be sent to the client. Should the Client’s payment method be rejected or payment cancelled for any reason whatsoever, the booking shall not be reserved and will automatically expire. The Session Fees paid by the clients through Sounderic constitute the entire amount payable for the Sessions and the Therapists shall not charge the parents any additional fees.

Payment processing.

Payments related to Sounderic, including payment of the Service Fees, and refunds, can be made through Card Payment facilities, Online Bank Transfer, and Wallet Payment. You agree not to hold us liable for payments that do not reach us because you have quoted incorrect payment information or the Payment Processors( Razorpay) refused the payment for any other reason. Please note that the Payment Processor may collect from you some personal data, which will allow it to make the payments requested by you (e.g., your name, credit card details, payment account information, or any other required personal data). The Payment Processor handles all the steps in the payment process on its website, including data collection and data processing. Valid Credit / Debit/ Cash Card/ online bank transfers and other payment instruments are processed using a Credit Card payment gateway or appropriate payment system infrastructure and the same will also be governed by the terms agreed to between the Users and the respective issuing bank and payment instrument issuing company. We shall not be liable for any unauthorized use, fraud, payment refunds, lost amount, etc. in the transaction.

Free consultation. Each Customer is entitled to a single free consultation with our consultant prior to choosing the Therapist. Such consultations are limited to 15 minutes and do not substitute the Sessions.

Invoices. The invoices for the Service Fees paid by you, (the “Invoices”) are generated and sent to you via email. They can be reviewed and downloaded.

We reserve the right to change any fees at any time at our sole discretion and any change, update, or modification in the fee shall become effective immediately upon the same being posted/uploaded or notified on our website.

Copyrights

None of the material contained in this Site may be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, displayed, posted, or transmitted in any form or by any means including, but not limited to, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without the prior written consent of Sounderic. All copyright and other intellectual property rights in this material are owned by Sounderic or have been licensed for use to Sounderic by the owners of the rights.

You may not –

1. Copy (whether by printing off onto paper, storing on disk or in any other way), distribute (including distributing copies), display, perform, reproduce, distribute, modify, edit, alter, enhance, broadcast, or tamper with in any way or otherwise use any material contained in the website. These restrictions apply in relation to all or part of the material on the website;

2. Copy and distribute this information on any other server, or modify or re-use text or graphics on this system or another system. No reproduction of any part of the website may be sold or distributed for commercial gain nor shall it be modified or incorporated in any other work, publication, or website, whether in hard copy or electronic format, including postings to any other website.

3. Remove any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property notices contained in the original material from any material copied or printed off from the website; or link to this website, without our express written consent.

Trademarks

The trademarks, service marks, and logos (Trademarks) used and displayed on this Site are registered or unregistered Trademarks of Sounderic. Nothing on this Site shall be construed as granting, by implication, estoppels or otherwise any license or right to use any Trademark displayed on the Site without the prior written consent of the Trademark owner.

Cancellation and rescheduling of sessions

At Sounderic, our patients come first always. We understand sometimes due to unforeseen circumstances, it gets difficult to attend a session. We have curated our cancellation and rescheduling policy that allows you to move sessions if such a requirement may arise while ensuring that everyone’s time is respected, and resources are used efficiently.

If you would like to cancel your Session, you must inform us via email or text no later than 30 minutes before the scheduled time.

If you cancel the Session as the client in accordance with the section above, we will refund you the Service Fees paid or reschedule the session. If the Session is cancelled later than 30 minutes before the scheduled time, no Service Fees shall be refunded by you, unless you exercise your right of withdrawal as explained above.

Similarly, if we or our therapists need to cancel or reschedule a session, very similar terms are applicable.

If the therapist cancels the session, 30 minutes before no refund will be given for the service fees and the session will be rescheduled as per your convenience.

If the therapist fails to inform you 30 minutes prior to the session or doesn't turn up for the session, we will provide you with an extra full session at no cost.

Entire Agreement

The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

These Terms of Service and any policies or operating rules posted by us on this site or in respect to The Service constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).
Any ambiguities in the interpretation of these Terms of Service shall not be construed against the drafting party.

Indemnification
